Connected Schools is a philosophy and school-wide strategy for how a school community works together to accelerate student success. The school aims to successfully integrate academics with student services, and healing centered practices with family engagement.
CPS Launched the Connected Schools initiative for academic year 2019-20. Connected Schools are DCPS' version of full-service community schools, an evidence-based intervention.
Anacostia's Connected Schools Manager is Latisha Chisholm, social worker, former teacher and special education coordinator. She serves on the school's leadership team and drives implementation of the Connected Schools Model.
