Welcome

August 18, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, William Haith, as the Principal of Anacostia High School. My passion for molding and shaping the future of students has been shaped through 18 years in education.  In each of those years, my goal has been the same, to ensure that all students are achieving excellence, love their school, and enjoy learning.

Anacostia is an exciting place where students can express themselves through academics, athletics, and the arts.  We take pride in getting to know each one of our students and their families.  We aim to educate the whole child by acknowledging their unique needs and stories and equipping them with self-advocacy skills.

It is the shared belief that student success is the goal of every staff member at Anacostia HS. We are prepared to offer time and support in any area needed. I ask for your support and active participation in this effort by joining our PTA and supporting the vision and mission of Anacostia HS

I am truly thrilled about the potential that exists at Anacostia and I feel confident that together we can equip our students to successfully compete in our global community. We know this year will offer some challenges, but in our partnership with our students and parents, we are prepared to overcome them. I look forward to a great school year!

Sincerely,

Wiliam Haith

Principal
